[RE:BOUND Festival 2026] RIVER STORIES: Geumgang

Seocheon Philharmonic Orchestra · The Geum River told through orchestra and contemporary dance

About This Event

"The river embraces people, and people carry culture forward." The Geum River is a river of life that has embraced people and let culture bloom. <RIVER STORIES: Geumgang> is an original work that traces the flow of nature, people and culture along the river through orchestra and contemporary dance.

It reworks the Seocheon Philharmonic Orchestra's original repertoire <Symphonic Poem Geumgang>. Where the earlier work captured the river's history and nature in symphonic music, this stage adds contemporary dance to that musical narrative, showing nature, people and culture joining into a single flow.

Founded in 2012, the Seocheon Philharmonic Orchestra is a professional arts company that reinterprets Seocheon's history, culture and nature through classical music and original productions. In 2026 it was selected for the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's support program for representative regional arts groups.
