Mongoat Gallery presents Lee Mi-hyang's solo exhibition "Mountain Colors, Where the Wait Has Tinted." The artist reads the colors of mountains as time — capturing on Korean paper a landscape of mountain colors layered by long waiting.
Nothing on Lee's canvas is painted in a single pass. Pigment soaks into the paper and dries; another color settles on top; in between, time itself sinks in. What remains is not a single scene but a "stratum of color" accumulated over many durations.
Opens Apr 18, 2026 (ongoing — see gallery website)
