Still/ Moving: Korean Video Art Based on Performances

The SongEun Exhibition

About This Event

The SongEun's exhibition "Still/ Moving: Korean Video Art Based on Performances" surveys the lineage of Korean video art rooted in performance. Through the tension between stillness (Still) and movement (Moving), the show traces a history of Korean contemporary moving images.

The exhibition reconstructs intersections between performance and video — from the late 1960s to today — both chronologically and thematically. By foregrounding moments where body and record, moving image and frozen frame meet, it offers a multidimensional reading of how Korean video art has approached the questions of body and time.
