Gangnam Trail Course 1 is a 6.7km walking course starting at Yangjaecheon Riverside Culture Lounge and continuing along the south side of Yangjaecheon and Tancheon to Gwangpyeong Bridge. It passes six landmarks — Yangjaecheon Riverside Culture Lounge, Metasequoia Road, Tancheon–Yangjaecheon Visitor Center, Tancheon, Ilwon Eco Park, and Maru Park — and takes about 1 hour 40 minutes. A signature Gangnam walking course to enjoy nature and a relaxed pace in the city.

Yangjaecheon Riverside Culture Lounge Starting Point

The Yangjaecheon Riverside Culture Lounge is the starting point, located at 77 Nonhyeon-ro 22-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, about a 10-minute walk from Exit 4 of Maebong Station (Line 3). The lounge opens daily from 09:00 to 22:00.

Dedicated bike lanes are well maintained along Yangjaecheon and Tancheon, so biking is possible. You can check nearby Seoul Bike (Ttareungi) rental stations on the app.

Public restrooms are installed at the starting point (Yangjaecheon Riverside Culture Lounge) and key sections of the Tancheon walkway.

The Yangjaecheon Riverside Culture Lounge operates until 22:00, and streetlights are installed along the Yangjaecheon and Tancheon walkways, so nighttime walks are possible. For safety, however, we recommend starting before sunset.

A cafe operates inside the Yangjaecheon Riverside Culture Lounge, and there are various restaurants and cafes around the starting point (Maebong Station area) and the endpoint (Suseo Station area).
