About

Igili-gu Gallery is located at 519-22, Sinsa-dong, in an alley where the hustle and bustle of Garosu-gil subsides. The unique name, which may have been taken from the address, means two roads (二吉), meaning communication, and two circular entrances (二口). Lee Gil-igu Gallery, which opened in 2015, has consistently introduced contemporary culture and art. It has served as a pioneer in satisfying the diverse aesthetic curiosity of modern people without limiting its scope to painting or sculpture, photography, illustration, media art, installation art, and ancient art. From photographer Lim Young-gyun, who had a deep artistic exchange with world-renowned video artist Nam June Paik, and Kang Seok-young, a first-generation Korean ceramic artist, to works by young artists Nanan and Kwaya, you can always encounter fresh stimulation at Lee Il-i-gu Gallery.
