Espace - Architectural Response to Urban Green Space
Espace features a terrace that faces Hakdong Park. Then, exposed concrete was used without adding any material to the structure to bring the park into the interior as much as possible.
Introduction

It resembles a medieval castle. The impression given by the countless square windows without glass is that strong. However, the topic of architecture was ‘How will it respond to the city park?’ So, we first placed the terrace on the side closest to Hakdong Park. Next, in order to bring the park indoors as much as possible, exposed concrete was used instead of adding additional materials to the structure. The stairs that provided the view and light to the living room were eventually placed on the roadside. The identity of the square window was revealed in the staircase. The purpose was to experience the park in advance on the way indoors.
