Samseong Haemaji (Sunrise) Park

About a 10-minute walk from Exit 1 of Cheongdam Station and up a gentle uphill road in the residential area of Samseong-dong, you will arrive at Samsung Sunrise Park, where you can overlook the Han River. This was originally a facility to supply water sources, but the upper part of the reservoir, which was scheduled to be closed, was turned into a park and opened to the public in 2022.

Samsung Sunrise Park is an observation spot where you can enjoy a panoramic view of Seoul's major landmarks such as Jamsil Sports Complex, COEX, and Lotte World Tower along with the colorful scenery of the Han River, as well as the city night view of Olympic Expressway and Cheongdam Bridge. It is also famous as a place for taking sunrise photos, worthy of its name, so photographers gather at dawn, and it is also the place where the Gangnam-gu Sunrise Festival is held on the first day of the new year.

As a park in the city, it has good transportation accessibility and is well-equipped with healing spaces such as a lawn plaza, a trail, pergolas and observation decks installed here and there, making it a perfect place for family outings and dates.
