Introduction

In March 2022, Tang Contemporary Art, Asia's largest gallery, entered Korea by establishing itself on the second basement level of Songeun Art Center in Cheongdam-dong. It started in Bangkok in 1997 and is the fourth branch following Beijing and Hong Kong. Tang Contemporary Art has many Chinese and Southeast Asian artists, including artist Ai Weiwei, who exhibited at the Seoul branch of the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art. It will be a space where you can newly discover Asian art that is geographically close but unfamiliar.
