Introduction

Segokcheon is a 1.2 km stream originating between Daemosan and Guryongsan mountains in Gangnam-gu, flowing through Segok-dong to merge with Tancheon and eventually into the Han River. Though short in length and only 8 meters wide, it has its own charming appeal. A 3-meter-wide walking path runs along the stream bank. At its confluence with Tancheon, the 'Contemplation Shelter' — a nature-friendly healing park — was created in 2020. Nearby idle land has been converted into 'Healing Gardens,' supporting residents' eco-friendly farming every year.
