Konig Seoul

Since its establishment in 2002, Koenig, which has grown into the most influential gallery in Berlin, the center of modern art, opened Koenig Seoul, a base for its expansion into Asia, in Cheongdam-dong in 2021. Surprisingly, the location is the 5th floor and rooftop of the MCM Cheongdam flagship store. In particular, the rooftop is a space that does not exist in Koenig's other galleries, and you can have a special experience of viewing the surroundings from a high place, which is rare in Cheongdam-dong. The opening exhibition introduced the works of about 30 artists affiliated with Koenig who are not yet well-known in Korea, giving Korean visitors a glimpse into Koenig's worldview.
